Invictus Critical Solutions Australia is a Newcastle-based consultancy working on systems where failure has real consequences — Defence platforms, power infrastructure, industrial facilities, rail and marine assets. We do the safety, reliability and asset engineering that keeps them working, and we put our names on it.

Invictus is founder-led — when you engage us, you work directly with John Silveirinha, the principal engineer who does the work rather than delegating it.

John founded Invictus CSA after close to two decades of engineering leadership across Defence, energy and heavy industry. He managed product safety engineering at BAE Systems Australia, led system safety at Lockheed Martin, and spent seven years running engineering and development at Banlaw, Newcastle’s fuel-management specialist — after starting his career with Siemens in Europe on power generation projects.
He’s a Chartered Professional Engineer on the National Engineering Register, with additional statutory registration in Queensland (RPEQ) and Victoria (RPEV). He’s also a TÜV Rheinland-certified Functional Safety engineer and an ICAM lead investigator. At Invictus, he leads the system safety and electrical engineering work himself.
